Meet Divya Mudappa – The Rainforest Hero!

Hello Young Explorers!

Have you ever dreamed of saving wild animals and protecting magical forests? Well, let me tell you about a real-life hero who does just that – her name is Divya Mudappa!

Who is Divya Mudappa?
Divya is a wildlife biologist – that means she studies animals and nature. She lives in India and spends her time in one of the coolest places on Earth: the Western Ghats – a rainforest full of tigers, elephants, birds, and even tiny frogs!

What Does She Do?
Divya works to protect rainforests and all the animals that live there. She and her team plant trees, stop people from cutting down forests, and help animals find safe homes. She especially loves watching and studying hornbills, big birds with colorful beaks that live high in the treetops!

Why is Her Work Important?
Forests are like the lungs of the Earth – they give us clean air, water, and a happy home for animals. Thanks to Divya, many trees are growing back, and animals like lion-tailed macaques (monkeys with fluffy tails) are safe again!
Cool Facts About Divya:
* She co-founded the Nature Conservation Foundation, a group that protects wildlife.
* She helps plant native trees (trees that belong in that forest).
* She teaches others how to care for the Earth too!

What Can YOU Do?
Even if you don't live near a rainforest, you can still be a nature hero! Here's how:
* Plant a tree or flower.
* Don’t waste paper.
* Love and learn about animals!

Learn from Divya!
Divya Mudappa shows us that anyone with a big heart and a love for nature can make a difference. Maybe one day, YOU will be the one helping forests grow and animals thrive!

Keep Exploring, Young Heroes 🫰!
